Success for R-in Steps
The R (pro)gram was developed to allow for effective R target practice with targets that are phonetically consistent (i.e. ar words practiced and mastered together as a group), moving onto R words, long vowel combinations, consonant + R combinations, and -irl combinations. All target goals are broken down into 4 subsections with manageable 1 minute practice videos). Our systematic program focuses on small, changes and strategic practice, helping to shape speech patterns with ease. By starting at a level where your child feels successful, we aim to build and enhance R production through innovative strategies. With motivation and consistency, mastering the /r/ sound can be an achievable goal!
